The principles of Dao Yin are based on the concepts of Chinese medicine, Western medicine, Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises. This system combines the positive aspects of meditation and breathing exercises, and benefits the three aspects of body, mind and spirit. Dao Yin works by cultivating smooth Chi flow through the whole body and to specific parts of the body, supporting and improving natural health maintenance and healing processes.
The Daoyin Yangshenggong system consists of standing, static and dynamic symmetric exercises, with movements performed to selected musical excerpts in order to coordinate breathing with movement. Daoyin Yangshenggong (Dao Yin life nourishing exercises) is the result of long and deep research on ancient Daoyin techniques carried out by the late Professor Zhang Guangde of the Beijing Physical Education University. Its soft, fluid and harmonious movements are aimed at improving energy circulation within the whole body, to loosen the joints, tone up and oxygenate the muscles and to relax the nervous system.
Clinical tests made in China and examinations performed by medical specialists and researchers from all over the world, have proved the eight movements of Daoyin Yangshenggong to be effective in improving health and contributing to the prevention, amelioration and healing of many acute and chronic diseases without showing any side effects. With its deep and meticulous work on concentration, respiration and movements, Dao Yin is also a wonderful method for self-cultivation and inner growth.
This Daoyin Yangshenggong workshop is comprised of two sessions of two and a half hours over two successive weekends, which will provide ample time to absorb the integral details of the routine. It will be conducted by Si Gung Charles assisted by Sifus and instructors. Si Gung Charles is one of the very few instructors in Australia to have learned the routine directly from its creator, Professor Zhang Guangde which makes this a rare opportunity for you to learn authentic Daoyin Yangshenggong.
